From competitive cheerleading to competitive CrossFit to CFCA, Lindsay knows how to train! We were psyched when her and her fiancé Gus moved into our neighborhood. Pound for pound, Lindsay is one of (if not) the strongest woman at CFCA! She has been a breath of fresh air and our coaching staff is pumped to recognize her as our Member of the Month! Lindsay is knowledgeable, fun, competitive and friendly - the perfect mix for our community.
Congrats, Lindsay! We are lucky to have you and can't wait to hear about your September wedding! #cfca4life
What's your favorite achievement since becoming a member of CFCA?
Prioritizing how I feel vs how much I’m lifting or my final score. I’ve really been able to channel my competitive mindset to focus on overall functionality, health and fitness longevity.
What would be your walk up song?
Don’t stop me now - Queen
What is your favorite lift?
Deadlift
Favorite WOD and least favorite WOD?
Favorite: with a barbell, burpees, or handstands!
Not so favorite: Wallballs and the bike are my nemesis.
What is one item you can't live without?
A fresh gel manicure!
What is next on your travel bucket list?
Getting married in September and traveling to Dubai/Maldives for our honeymoon. I’m also super excited to ride a camel in the desert!
What is your favorite thing about the CFCA community?
The overall sense of camaraderie. Everyone is extremely welcoming and encouraging. I love the support among members both within and outside of the gym.
Also, ladies' night deserves an honorable mention here. Who doesn’t love fitness followed by a margarita with a group of amazing women?!
What advice would you give new members?
Don't be intimidated and stick with it! Just showing up is an accomplishment. Give your best effort for that day and be proud of yourself. Everyone is at a different point in their fitness journey and everyone has their own personal goals.
And track your workouts!!! After almost 10 yrs of CrossFit, it is amazing to look back at personal goals and trends over the years. It also shows how small daily improvements translate into accomplishing larger goals over time!
